INITIAL ADVICE
At Harfield Consultants, we pride ourselves on our honest approach to structural engineering and the construction services we offer. We are happy to provide an initial consultation to discuss your project and individual needs. We do not put pressure on you to use our services, and if required, would be happy to point you in the right direction if other professional services are required.

FULL DESIGN
Whether you want to remove a wall in your house or build a new office block, at Harfield Consultants, we can offer a structural design package that suits your needs. We can provide calculations for all standard forms of construction, using our experience, modern technical software, and a team of dedicated engineers, to complete the works in line with current Building Regulations.
INSPECTION REPORTS
Our professionally qualified engineers can help with structural issues associated with existing structures, which can include cracking, movement, and other structural issues. Our engineers will use their experience to investigate the structural issue and provide the necessary report that offers suggestions as to the causes of the recorded damage as well as recommendations on any repairs or remedial works that may be required. We offer various levels of reports, from an in-depth report on the structure as a whole, to a letter on a crack in a domestic property.
TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
All of our calculations are produced to show that any proposed works are structurally capable of supporting the applied loadings and do not have a detrimental effect on the existing structure. However, without the required technical knowledge, these calculations are difficult to build from. Therefore, at Harfield Consultants, we provide technical drawings that reflect the requirements and facilitate construction on site. These drawings range from hand drawn sketches to full AutoCAD drawings, depending on your needs and budget.
LIAISE WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS
At Harfield Consultants, we understand the numerous aspects that need to be considered during the construction process, and that various experts and professionals will inevitably be involved. Our services include liaison with these professionals - from Architects to Surveyors, and Archaeologists to Geologists, we are always available to help the design team complete your project to meet the requirements.

Timber structures including traditional Oak frames, cut roofs and trusses, and isolated members.

Although trussed rafters are designed by a specialist, we are able to provide the details required for loft conversions where these types of roofs are present.
